Great view of La Jolla from this rooftop restaurant. The service is great and everyone was nice. We ordered the meat and margherita pizzas which were really good and came in generous portions.

Visited Cusps for their lunch menu. Their lunch menu is a much smaller selection compared to their brunch and dinner menu. We got the Chicken Cesar salad and garlic fries for our meal. We got the red sangria and tequila sunset for our drinks. Red sangria could have had way less ice, however the food was great! And the services was excellent. Eddie served us and made our experience very memorable! And of course, we went for the view (:

This is my second time dining at Cusp and I definitely recommend it. I dinned here for restaurant week because the deal was great for how amazing the food is with the best view in La Jolla! This spot is located within a hotel on the 11th floor and the view at sunset is incredible. Our server Steven was super attentive and helpful with suggestions on what to order and he was spot on. This may need to become my new spot to grab an appetizer and a drink just to watch the sunset.

Lovely views and all around great service. A perfect ambiance for any occasion and never too crowded (unless restaurant week/holiday)

We made reservations for 7:15 for New Year's Eve dinner and we are glad we went with that time. We were seated immediately. Service was great and everyone was very friendly. The atmosphere was great, nothing too hectic and perfect for a nice late dinner. Once we placed our order it definitely started to pick up. As for the menu we had two to pick from, you could order from the Christmas Eve (New Years Eve) or from the regular menu. We opted to order from both. Everything tasted wonderfully and we were actually very impressed by the flavor combinations. Compliments to the chef! I wanted to make sure I included the great customer service provided by the manager. He was not only helping bring dishes out but was constantly checking in on tables. You rarely see management helping out their staff in this way.

Came here for Restaurant Week and it's a good deal! Our reservation was a bit late, forget what time exactly 8-9 on a late September Friday and it wasn't busy at all. My boyfriend and I got seated right away at a table that sits right next to a window where you can get a great view! It was night so just the lights of the city but still beautiful. Restaurant Week deal was an appetizer, entree, and dessert. So we order the ceviche and the crab tostada. The ceviche is delicious, sweet potato is a very subtle sweetness to it! Really yummy and wouldn't have thought of it. Tostada was also delicious! Can't complain when it comes to crab. Next we ordered the chef's choice (salmon) and the local catch of the day (sea bass). The chef's choice comes with these udon noodles in absolutely buttery sauce, which was honestly my favorite part of that dish! The tempura mushrooms were a tad soft but mushroom holds a lot of water, what can you do? The sea bass was excellent, it's on a bed of veggies and goodness. For dessert: the creme caramel churro (which is basically a flan) and apple fritter. Churro was good, crunchy and soft inside. Have not had a bad flan yet. Apple fritter had a nice texture/bite to it! Really yummy! Would very much recommend trying it!

Cusp Dining & Drinks is a fantastic place to visit in la Jolla. With a astonish atmosphere a beautiful view and a menu vast in flavors (Excellent cuisine). We recommend the delicious Chef's Daily Ceviche and at least one of this two luscious dishes "Chef's choice Fish or Local Catch of the Day" you can't go wrong with both, flavorful and you only want to dig more in your meal. If you have a little space for dessert, I recommend the Creme Caramel Churro is just amazing as it sounds. Free hotel parking.

This restaurant is hidden within the hotel La Jolla. We live nearby and decided to try it out for restaurant week. Really enjoyed our meal and the ocean view (although obscured by scaffolding)! For the 3 course menu I got the crab avocado tostada, catch of the day, and brownie. My fiancé got the gem salad, catch of the day, and budino. My fiancé has a gluten allergy and the kitchen was very accommodating to allow him to substitute the orzo pasta on the catch of the day with rice! He was happy to have a lot of options even on a prix fix menu as a gluten free diner. Views of the sunset from the 11th floor were quite unique. Even the bathroom has ocean views! Although the scaffold obstructed the view we heard it will be removed from cusp restaurants view sometime next week. Service was very quick and attentive! Would definitely go back.

I was raised in La Jolla so when I decided to visit town from Los Angeles to see some old friends we decided on Cusp due to the fact it has amazing food, unbeatable views, and is a hidden gem in my opinion. I have been here many times over the years and every time I have a great meal. I always order the fish entrée as it's always cooked perfectly, but every other thing I have seen ordered also gets great reviews. They are currently doing work on the façade of the front so the views are a little obstructed by construction equipment but still La Jolla is beautiful enough it makes up for it. Our server was also very polite and attentive and was quick with the refills. I started off with the baby beet salad and really enjoyed it. It was light and a great start to the meal. The whipped goat cheese on the bottom was definitely my favorite part. For my entrée I chose the fish of the day which was a Seabass. Seabass is my personal favorite fish and I was glad to see that this one is cooked well and tasted delicious. This is a true hidden gem to me because most diners go toward the Cove area of La Jolla rather than the Shores so this would make a wonderful date or casual dinner option. It's a bit small for a work dinner but aside from that I am comfortable recommending it to anyone for any occasion. They offer valet parking for the hotel, but there is a ton of street parking next to it so the parking side of things will be easy.
